We’re on the glide into Christmas and it’s a good moment to wish all of you a very happy week with your families and friends. Before we head off there ourselves, here are a few last minute notes, some “for the avoidance of doubt”.

It’s certainly rubbish to see so much Covid about, but we remain resolutely confident that, of all hospitality, rural inns such as ours are, for the moment, right up there in terms of the kind of places you might want to be. Last Call for Vouchers

Bless all of you who’ve ordered our EDS Vouchers as presents for friends and family. There’s still time to have them with you before Christmas and our 2021 tech revolution within EDS means you can now order them online by clicking here.

No expiry date and as prettily packaged as ever. You can choose to have them emailed but we much prefer the more analogue approach of 1st Class post.

Opening Hours

We’re now open for lunch and supper 7 days a week right across EDS. Touch wood: isolations can play havoc with rotas. We’ll close after a late lunch on Christmas Eve (a few tables still available across EDS) and plan to re-open on the 27^th in time for lunch.

You can book online to eat with us any time via the clever Booking button on our websites. If you can’t secure the time you want or the date you need, drop us an email (below) or call and we’ll see what we can do: cancellations are going to be inevitable in the next few weeks.

Lunch for a Fiver

Keep your eye out for our annual lunching offer which is intended to return at the end of January and will run until just before half term in February. An invitation to follow via email in the new year, although those eating and staying with us over the next couple of weeks can pick up a Lunch for a Fiver voucher with their bill.

Meanwhile, upstairs, our new bedroom (imaginatively called 8) has been everything we hoped for and we’re seeing a little availability appearing after the odd cancellation both before (the Winter Escape offer in place until the 23rd) and after Christmas.
