Happy Solstice! Today, we're sharing our final syllabus of 2021. We'll be taking a break for the next couple weeks, and will return in January.
See you in the new year!
This week's syllabus is How to Come Home by Erika Veurink.

As many people journey home for the holidays, braving interstates, airports, and long testing lines, Erika’s syllabus ponders the metaphorical dimension of homecoming. Her piece occupies a dream-like space between childhood and adulthood, fantasy and reality, earth and the cosmos, confusion and understanding. Home, in the world of Erika’s syllabus, is sweet and warmly familiar; a refuge of memories, with no specter of the unknown. But alongside that comfort, there’s a pain to coming home. It provokes confrontations between multiple versions of the self that can never quite be reconciled.
Jordan Sondler learns to self advocate.
