Bring in the New Year with the Hillsboro City Library!

Did you set a New Year's Resolution to read more? Did you resolve to go back to school or start a new business? Decide to dive into your family history? The library can help! To find out how the library can help, check out the Services and Digital Library sections below.

Visit the StoryWalk at City Park, or swing by the library for a preschool or Books & Babies storytime! While you're at the library, don't forget to check out a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot, or read local and other newspapers in the lobby. You can also grab a movie or two for a family movie night! Movies not your thing? We have plenty of books and audiobooks available! Check out our new books section, or download an e-book or audiobook from CloudLibrary. If you want something lighter to read, try downloading a magazine from CloudLibrary's NewsStand.

What's Happening

January StoryWalk
Stop by our StoryWalk in Hillsboro City Park to read "Winter Sleep: A Hibernation Story" by Sean Taylor and Alex Morss. 

When you finish, swing by the library and grab an adorable take & make craft! 

Story and craft available all month long!

January Storytimes
Bring in the new year with a storytime at the library!

Preschool Storytimes are every Tuesday at 10AM. A craft follows the story.

Books & Babies is a lapsit style storytime for younger children. Stop by every Wednesday at 10AM.
1000 Books Before Kindergarten Reading Party!
Start your little one's reading journey off by participating in our 1KBBK program! 

Join us on Saturday, January 22 from 11AM - 1PM for a 1KBBK reading party!

Snacks will be provided.

Wi-Fi Hotspots

The Hillsboro City Library has a number of mobile hotspots available for checkout to library patrons.

Need to print, scan, or fax an important document? The library has everything you need!

Print using one of our desktop computers, or send documents right from your home or mobile device with the PrinterOn App
Interlibrary Loans

The Hillsboro City Library has an excellent selection of books and other materials. However, no library can hold every book or movie ever made. 

Looking for a book we do not have? Ask about Interlibrary Loans at the circulation desk. We will borrow the book from another library and you can pick it up at the front counter.

Or visit the Genealogy & Local History Department of the Hillsboro City Library. Scanned versions of local, historical newspapers can be found at the circulation desk.
