City of Charleston offices will be closed:

There will be no schedule changes for garbage and trash collection over the Christmas and New Year's holidays.

Garbage & trash collection will take place on the regular scheduled days, which can be found on Charleston Mapnet under 'Property Information'.

Aldersgate UMC Warming Shelter
(1444 Remount Road, North Charleston) will be open Thursday night, 12/23. The shelter has a capacity of 75 people and will take in men, women and children (no pets). Admission hours are from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. The center will close at 7 a.m. Dinner and breakfast will be served. CARTA will provide free transportation to individuals who are seeking to access the center.
