Our 2022 Summer Reading Program is going to make a splash at the Gillett Public Library! We're going to explore our local waterways and learn the importance of marine habitats.We're excited to welcome the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary, Children's Museum of Green Bay, the Hammen Family, and all of our guest speakers this year. We'll learn about fossils, aquatic habitats, and the denizens of the deep. After all, when it comes to reading, there are "Oceans of Possibilities!"

Movie Nights at Gillett Public Library
 All movies will be held at 5:30 pm in the Gillett Library Community Center! Check our calendar in the library and on our website for more information. Donations welcome. Follow our Facebook page for any schedule changes.

Family Lego Challenges
Come to the Gillett Library for an afternoon of fun, creativity, and challenges. Every week we will have a new building challenge with Legos. Challenges will be revealed at the beginning of the event. Join us at the Library Community Center from 4-5 pm on the the following Mondays: May 23rd, June 27th, July 25th, and Aug. 29th.

Dance Party!
Join us at the Gillett Library Community Center on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month from 10-10:45 am for Just Dance! Just Dance is a motion-based video game that is a great workout for anyone of any age. Get fit while dancing and having fun! You don't need to be an expert dancer and all dances can accommodate any fitness levels (Yes, you can also use a chair if you have mobility difficulties.) If you have a Wii controller, please bring it. Participants will be required to sign a waiver at the event. Disclaimer: As with all exercise regiments/programs, please consult your doctor before you start any exercise program.

PATHFINDER SOCIETY ORGANIZED PLAY
Join us for Pathfinder Society Organized Play on Wednesdays from 12:45-2:45 pm in the Library Community Center. Every week a new adventure awaits in the fictional world of Golarion. Explore the world and delve into ancient ruins. So grab your Wayfinder, arm yourself with spell or sword, and explore this fantastical world in traditional tabletop RPG style.

Gillett Gaming Guild
Join us for a Community Board Games in the Gillett Library Community Center on Wednesday afternoons from 12:45-2:45 pm.. Board games will be provided or feel free to gather a group of friends and bring your own games. Card players welcome!

Summer Reading Program 2022
Come to the Gillett Library on Friday, June 10th to get your Sea Pal for the Summer! Take your Pal with you on vacation and tag Gillett Public Library! We'll mark on a map of the United States all the places where our Pals have been! Going to the beach? Take a picture of your Pal and let's see where we explore in Summer 2022! (One Pal per child while supplies last!) Where will we explore? The possibilities are endless!

Preschool Storytime
Preschool Storytime will take place in the Community Center on Fridays in May at 1:00 pm. Preschool Storytime will return to 10:30 am starting on Friday, June 10th! Come for books, a craft, and a snack!

Friday, June 10: Come and get your Sea Pal for the Summer Reading Program!
Friday, June 17: Join us for Earthaven Museum and learn about fossils.
Friday, June 24: Learn about scuba diving from local diver, Lisa Phillips.
Friday, July 15: Explore Oconto County's waterways and their importance to our environment with the Oconto County Park Department.
Tuesday, July 19th from 3-4 pm: Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary presents "Birds of Prey."
Monday, August 8th at 10:30 am: "Unsinkable Ships" presented by Children's Museum of Green Bay. If you build a boat, will it float?
Friday, August 19: Gillett Library will be "buzzing" about bees! Local beekeepers from Hammen Family Orchard in Bonduel will share their experiences with bees and their importance to our environment. Bring your sweet tooth!
Friday, August 26: It's time for the dogs to take over the Gillett Library!
