Jingle some bells, baby

Cheers to making it through 2021 - and very much hoping for a better 2022 for the world.

The year began for us with a wonderful trip to the desert SW and some rafting on the Grand Canyon. It’s hard to beat Alaska, but those arches are pretty neat.

We had an adventurous and fun 10th sailing year. Lots of new friends, and many returnees. It’s is so good to have the support of folks to keep doing what we love, and getting to show off a spectacular part of the world. Thank you to everyone who sailed with us!!

The BOB sailed down through the whole of the Inside Passage to Bellingham, Washington this fall for some upgrades and fix-its. Our very long list is slowly getting smaller, but there’s still lots to go.

In the meantime, we’ve dusted off our diving skills and are learning that cold water diving is actually a lot of fun. No snow to ski in Bellingham so ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Our 1% for the Tongass donation at the end of this year was split between two active groups making a big difference in the Sitka community. We are also personally big fans of both Sitka Trail Works and KCAW Raven Radio. It is thrilling to be able to support such worthwhile non-profits.

Season’s Greetings and Happy Holidays to you all.

Blain has to scold Eileen about licking her fingers!

Blain’s Mom Eileen came out for a visit for her 80th birthday, and we really enjoyed decorating Gingerbread cookies all together. The definition of “joy” is this.

We wish you very glad tidings and a peaceful New Year. Blain and Monique
