It's December!

Hard to believe it's almost the end of the year. It's been another wild year for many of us. We say this a lot, but we're glad that we're in this together.

Recapping this year, we want to thank Blue FCU for their support. A number of you joined in at least one of their quarterly finance trainings this year. They were great opportunities to get ideas for organizing and planning both personal and organizational finances. Also, as you know, funding from Blue FCU's Do-Good campaign is allowing CFMA to develop a new website (which we are currently busy working on. Coming in 2022!) We are excited to continue our partnership together into the new year.

We hope you can take a few moments this holiday season to spend time with your community and to take time for yourselves as well. We can't wait to see you again in the new year!

CFMA Conference - SAVE THE DATE!

Our 2022 Annual Conference will be held Friday, March 11th and Saturday, March 12th, in Alamosa! We are also working on offering a virtual option to attend the conference.

We have an exciting lineup of workshops and trainings that we're planning for the conference, as well as tours of local farms and a Friday evening happy hour. CFMA's conference is a wonderful opportunity to network with market managers from around Colorado.

FrontLine Farming - 2022 BIPOC Farmer Apprenticeship

Frontline Farming’s Apprenticeship Program is a path for beginning to intermediate Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) growers who want to gain the fundamental skills needed in the movement toward personal and communal food sovereignty. We provide a culturally supportive and immersive environment for community, education and advocacy. It is our hope and determination to heal the pain and trauma from years of being subjected to systems of oppression throughout our historical bondage and use the knowledge of our ancestors to reconnect to the land for nourishment and reparations.

Application Deadline: January 31, 2022
Program Length: April 18, 2022 to October 28, 2022
Weekly Schedule: 20 hours/wk on a set schedule M/W/F
Education Stipend: $1,280 per month
