About the new work for Ballett & Staatstheater Augsburg (full evening)

Are we in control of the digital space and what we experience?
The digital space has spread out into our analog world. Today’s human daily life is shaped and informed by both realities, both being real and colorful. The digital space promises an unknown kind of freedom, crossing boarders and space, connecting people around the world and disregarding the laws of nature, allowing us to partake in experiences our physical bodies would be unable to achieve on their own. This freedom does have its limits. Hidden calculations determine what we encounter in this space. Their influences are impossible to see but can be just as flawed as it’s human creators.
How do these algorithms shape our interactions? How do they inform our experience and expression of self?
Between connecting via touch and connecting in the digital space, it is time to ask for both community and the individual: who are we (becoming)?
left behind (you) right examines a deeper understanding of our connections within humanity and how the digital space informs and teases these relationships. It explores a complex system of connections while acknowledging some hidden stories that made up the creative process. Let yourself observe the movement as a portal of possibility while allowing yourself the freedom to find your own individual story. There’s magic in the desire and splendour to surrender.
