A reminder of what's happening over the next couple of weeks
We are constantly monitoring guidance from the government and from the Baptist Union and we have decided to move some of our planned events this week outside to keep everyone as safe as possible.
Advent Window Trail
A huge thank you to all who have organised this event and all who have created and hosted the windows. There is still time to follow the trail this week. All details are on the website.
Christmas Eve Messy Brunch (10.00am)
Meet at GBC at 10.00am and walk to St Anne's School together - meeting lots of characters from the Christmas story along the route! Enjoy drinks and pastries together in the playground at the end of the event.
Christmas Eve Open Air Carols at St Anne's School (6.00pm)
We'll gather round the bandstand and sing carols together - and hear a short talk and some Christmas readings.
Then on Christmas Day you can tune in at 10.00am (or later at a time to suit you) for our pre-recorded Christmas Broadcast on our YouTube Channel.
There are no services on Boxing Day
On Sunday 2 January we hope to meet at Grace Fellowship at 10.30am, and that service will be uploaded to our Youtube Channel later in the day. There will not be any children's or youth groups on that day.
We pray that, despite the circumstances surrounding us at Christmas time again this year, we will once again be drawn to the wonder of the Christmas story - the glory of Emmanuel: God with us. Let's use the opportunity of Christmas being different, with the absence of some of our usual traditions, to find new ways to re-connect with the story we know so well and to celebrate Jesus' birth. And to give thanks for the heart of Christmas - the coming of the Saviour of the world.
God bless
Daniel
