Just before Christmas we announced that we are providing independent businesses across the district’s high streets with the opportunity to join the ShopAppy virtual high street platform.

Businesses from those towns and surrounding areas can now register, create and profile and upload their products and services ahead of a public launch which will be coming soon. Just go to the relevant town site to register.

East  Wittering - https://shopappy.com/eastwittering/
Midhurst - https://shopappy.com/midhurst/
Petworth - https://shopappy.com/petworth/
Selsey - https://shopappy.com/selsey/

Full training will be given to all those who wish to join the ShopAppy platform.  It is free to join until March 2022 and ShopAppy will then offer a further 12 months free on the platform.  Once registered, businesses can quickly populate their own mini-site with goods and services on their town’s page at no cost.

ShopAppy, is an online shopping platform that customers can use to browse products and services from high street businesses and pay for them online to be delivered or for click and collect. ShopAppy is being used across the country with great success for independent businesses, and we are using Government funding to enable Chichester District businesses to be part of it to support our high streets.

Many people shop online so this platform offers a method of purchasing that can help drive people back to the businesses on our high streets. Through ShopAppy, local independent businesses can promote their goods and services, sell online, and encourage people to click and collect.

If shoppers are going to make a purchase online, this gives the option to  make that purchase from an independent local business within our district and know that the money they have spent will go back into the local economy. Data from ShopAppy has shown that subscribers have seen a big uptick in additional sales with the click and collect service it offers. The online opportunity is offering businesses a chance for an additional revenue stream.

To find out more, visit ShopAppy website and to talk to one of the ShopAppy team, by emailing jane@shopappy.com.

We will also be attending a meeting with respective Business Associations and Towns Teams for you to find out more.
