In partnership with Second Nature, the team here at UNH Sustainability Institute has been hard at work on a new public reporting module on the SIMAP site. We are excited to report that we are on track to launch the new public reporting module of the SIMAP site. It will be available for Carbon and Climate Commitment signatories at the beginning of February, and for all other campuses and organizations later this spring.

Learn more at our upcoming January 28th webinar or at the SIMAP pages on the Public Reporting Guidance and Reporting FAQs.

Many thanks to our beta testers!

We have a host of wonderful campus partners that are deep in beta testing the new platform; we are so grateful to those of you who are helping road test this resource to make it as useful as possible for our community!

Access for Carbon/Climate Commitment Signatories

Signatories will have free access to the new public reporting module of the SIMAP site—which will take the place of the current Public Reporting website maintained by Second Nature, and will feature connectivity to the GRITS tool as well.  In addition, dues-paying signatories will continue to have a 40% discount on Tier 1 and Tier 2 SIMAP subscriptions to do their footprint calculations, for at least the rest of the 2022 reporting period.

Access for all other campuses and organizations

Later this year, we plan to make licenses available to any interested organizations –not just Carbon or Climate Commitment signatories—to use the SIMAP reporting site to share their emissions data publicly.

Join us for a webinar and/or check out new resources

To get ready for the exciting launch of the new reporting functionality, we are hosting a webinar on Friday January 28th at 1pm Eastern.  Join us for a “sneak peek” at the new public reporting module; we are excited to share it with you and welcome your questions! Register for the webinar here.

To learn more, check out the Public Reporting FAQ page and the Guided Tour of the Public Reporting Module. These pages have information about the 2022 reporting timeline and how the reporting module works for those who use SIMAP to do their footprint calculations and those who do not.

Together we can accelerate and increase the impact of our climate leadership efforts

Our ultimate goal in this project and partnership is to streamline and improve the process of emissions tracking and thereby support campuses and other organizations around the world in rising to the challenge of climate change by engaging strategically in greenhouse gas emission reductions efforts. We are excited about the new possibilities for data visualization, network expansion, research, and collaboration that this new effort represents. Thank you for being a part of it.
