The Hawai‘i Appleseed Center for Law and Economic Justice is seeking a director to lead the work of the Hawai‘i Budget and Policy Center (HBPC), a project of Hawai‘i Appleseed. PHI/CDC Global Health Fellowship Program
The PHI/CDC Global Health Fellowship Program is excited to announce an off-cycle, one-year pilot program to provide opportunities for recent graduates interested in exploring a career in global health. Interested candidates must have received a Master’s or Doctoral degree completed by the end of December 2021 or within the past five years (no earlier than February 2017) from a Minority-Serving Institution. Hawaii Public Health Association Student Fellowship
This semester-long internship will provide a student with the opportunity to learn about community board service, and includes a $500 stipend. Applications are due November 30, 2021.
Internship Activities: The student intern will attend all HPHA board meetings during the semester, in order to learn how community boards operate. They will also be placed on one regular board committee (selected based on the student’s interest), and will work with one Event Committee to develop a student-focused activity for that event (for either the HPHA Annual Meeting [Fall semester] or National Public Health Week [Spring semester]).
Eligibility: Undergraduate or graduate students with a career interest in public health, who are currently enrolled in any accredited Public Health or Public Health-related Health Professions program at any campus of the University of Hawai‘i, Hawai‘i Pacific University, or Chaminade University.
Application: Please submit your CV, an unofficial copy of your transcripts, and a one-page essay explaining (a) your interest in/plans for a career in public health, and (b) why you are interested in learning about board service to info@hawaiipublichealth.org

UH Cancer Center Graduate Fellowships
The UH Cancer Center has two research opportunities for graduate students.
Cancer Research Education, Advancement, Training and Empowerment (CREATE)
CREATE offers first-year graduate students the opportunity to gain research experience for one semester. Each student will be paired with a faculty mentor to work in Population Sciences in the Pacific or Cancer Biology.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Internship Program
The Washington Center for Internships and Seminars offers the SAMHSA Internship Program, a full-time (at least 33 hours per week) internship that lasts 10 weeks in the summer and 15 weeks in the fall/spring. SAMHSA is located in Rockville, MD and internships are in-person (COVID pending). Housing and roundtrip travel are completely covered for the student, with a sizable stipend to alleviate other living expenses and local travel costs. AcademyHealth Delivery System Science Fellowship
The AcademyHealth Delivery System Science Fellowship provides a paid, post-doctoral learning experience in conducting research within one of three unique delivery system settings. This year-long fellowship enhances fellows’ training by applying their analytic skills to relevant and timely topics prioritized by delivery systems.
