13 Routes Of Blizzard Bags Are On Their Way

Thank you to the Second Harvest Food Bank of NWPA for packing most of the shelf stable food for our Annual Blizzard Bag Project. Also, a warm thanks to our anonymous donor who donated cases of food to the office to supplement the bags. Last, but not least, to our amazing volunteers for distributing these bags for all of our Meal Clients.

Our Under Age 60 Program for Persons with a Permanent Disability has openings for potential new clients living in Millcreek, Lake City Borough and North East Township.

We appreciate our friends at New Motors Subaru who are currently running a promotion that will help our Veterans Program! New Motors Subaru will be making a donation to our Veterans Meal Program for every vehicle purchased or serviced at their Dealership! Their goal is to provide over 1,000 meals to our local heroes. If you are in the market for a new vehicle or maybe your Subaru needs a tune-up, visit New Motors and you'll be helping Meals on Wheels Erie feed local Veterans in need!

Each month we would like to shine the spotlight on volunteers who go above and beyond and give them a special thank you. This month we would like to shine the spotlight on:

Denise Ricci

We would like to recognize Denise Ricci who is an amazing volunteer for both programs. She has helped us at a moment's notice and has gone the extra mile for our clients. One example of her incredible volunteer spirit - she dropped everything and delivered a late to be picked up route during Reverend Gesler's funeral. We could not be more thankful and I know he would have been proud of her and her generous heart.
