Delia Invites you to her Debut as an Actress
The Farmscape Ecology Program's dog Delia will be on stage the next two weekends at PS21 for four performances of "The Art of Theater" (she has been rehearsing with actor Jim Fletcher since before Christmas and is earning some financial support for our Program in the process).
We have a limited number of complementary tickets to share for the Jan 14 and 15 performances (please be in touch with Claudia to receive free tickets for those dates).
PS21 also offers discounted tickets for fans of Delia for the Jan 22 and 23 shows (enter discount code DOG). You can purchase tickets, read about PS21's Covid precautions, and find more information about this North American Premiere of two masterful monologues ("The Art of Theater" and "With My Own Hands")
by acclaimed French playwright/director Pascal Rambert, by following this link to PS21's announcement.

Delia and the rest of the family will certainly understand if you forgo this because of the current Covid surge, but for those who are interested, we’re sure all involved would be glad to see you.

Winter Botany Offering
We also want to remind you of the upcoming workshop "Woody Plants in Winter--A Self-guided Course". It combines online materials with flagged examples of 30 species of trees and shrubs in Crellin Park and PS21, which can be visited and studied at your leisure from Jan. 15 through March 20. In addition, we offer three outdoor Winter Botany sessions guided by Conrad and Claudia Vispo on Jan 29, Feb. 12, and Feb. 26 (1-3pm) at Crellin Park and PS21 in Chatham. Please reserve your space for these outdoor sessions with Claudia.

Photo Request: American Sycamore leaf bud or flower images?

For a phenology project, we are in search of 3 photos of American Sycamore life stages: breaking leaf buds (when the green leaf tip pokes out from the leaf bud), flower buds (a "pompom"-shaped inflorescense with the many small individual flowers still closed), and open flowers (the "pompom" with stigmas or anthers of the individual tiny flowers clearly visible). Do you have any photos of these American Sycamore life stages that you’d be willing to share with us to use on a phenology sign? If so, please contact Anna.

With warm regards,
Claudia, Conrad, Anna, Dylan, Kenny, and Nellie
