2022 Cultural Pass
Invitation to Participate

Deadline: February 7 at 5 pm
All arts, cultural and heritage organizations in Greater Louisville are invited to participate in the 2022 Cultural Pass, a partnership of Louisville Metro Government, Fund for the Arts, Arts and Culture Alliance (ACA), and the Louisville Free Public Library. Please note that all Cultural Pass venues are members of ACA. If you would like to be a member or are unsure about your membership status with the ACA, please reach out to Janelle Renee Dunn. 
Registration for the  2022 Cultural Pass opened on January 19.  Full offering descriptions will be submitted at a later date. On Friday, January 21 there will be an information session over Zoom. Click here for more information.

Middle School Success Grants

Deadline: 5:00 pm ET Friday, January 28, 2022.
Middle Schools in the Jefferson County Public School system are eligible to apply for a Middle School Success (MSS) Grant. The 2-week MSS programs align with content standards; address issues of racial inequities and social-emotional needs; expand upon the Backpack of Success Skills; and provide students with opportunities that will lead to the development of one or several Backpack of Success artifacts.

NeXt Ambassador Program Update

The NeXt Ambassador program is undergoing revisions this year and we need your input! Grants

External Agency Fund
Deadline: February 3 by 5 pm

Louisville Metro Government (LMG) will begin accepting External Agency Fund applications on January 13, 2022 for Fiscal Year 2023 (July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023). These grants, funded through the city’s General Fund, are awarded to non-governmental or "external” agencies that contribute to the city's cultural, social, and economic vitality.

Deadline: February 15, 2022

The Kentucky Arts Partnership Grant Program provides support for the general operating costs of Kentucky arts and cultural organizations whose primary mission is to provide Kentuckians with year-round arts programming.

Presentation Grants are an opportunity for organizations in South Arts’ nine-state region to receive fee support to present Southern guest film directors, visual and performing artists, or writers from inside or outside of the presenter’s state.

Louisville Ballet 2022 / 2023 Season
When: Sunday, February 27, 2022
Location: Louisville Ballet Studios, 315 E Main Street, Louisville, KY

Louisville Ballet will host in-person auditions for male and female Company and Studio Company positions on Sunday, February 27, 2022. Due to strict COVID-19 prevention protocols, pre-registration is required. Pre-registration will end by February 20, 2022 OR when all slots are filled.

Artist Catalyst Program

Would you like to use your artistic skills to inspire change and healing for communities? As part of the Public Art & Civic Engagement (PACE) Capacity Building Initiative, Louisville Visual Art (LVA) is launching an Artist Catalyst program with technical support from Mural Arts Institute, a program of Mural Arts Philadelphia. The Artist Catalyst program seeks to build the capacity of artists in working with the community to produce socially engaged, participatory public art projects.

Performing Arts Discovery - An International Showcase Opportunity

Deadline: 5:00 pm on January 28, 2022
Performing Arts Discovery (PAD) is a program funded by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). PAD is managed by WAA on behalf of the U.S. Regional Arts Organizations (RAOs). PAD provides virtual international showcase opportunities for U.S.-based performing artists who are ready to tour internationally. The purpose of the PAD program is to introduce international presenters to U.S. performing artists and companies, thereby reducing barriers for American artists overseas. The primary objective for 2021 is the creation of 30 professionally-produced live performance videos for international markets. Applications are open to music, dance, and theatre artists/ensembles with a demonstrated capacity to tour internationally.

TARC Design-a-Bus Contest
Deadline: February 12, 2022
In partnership with the Louisville Orchestra, this year's Design-a-Bus contest theme is "MUSIC IN MOTION." Artists are encouraged to think about the role music plays in their everyday lives or inspires them to achieve a personal goal - such as learning to play an instrument, playing a sport, or serving their community. The contest is open to all elementary, middle, and high school students in Jefferson, Oldham, and Bullitt counties in Kentucky, and Floyd and Clark counties in Southern Indiana.

Title: Director of Administration, Equity, and Inclusion

At this important time of community focus, and strong commitment to equity and inclusion, the Speed Art Museum seeks a dynamic and inspiring Director of Administration, Equity, and Inclusion. The Director of Administration, Equity and Inclusion is the museum’s central nervous system, allowing for fluid, efficient, and healthy planning, and administration of the organization with DEAI (Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion) at its core. As a pivotal administrative leader, and leader of equity and inclusion, this position occupies a critical leadership position at the Speed. Working closely with and reporting to the Museum’s Director, the Director of Administration, Equity, and Inclusion is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and works with other senior leadership and varied teams across the museum to develop and implement administrative frameworks, DEAI initiatives, policies and practices and highly functional, cross-departmental processes. This position will play a critical role in imagining and realizing the museum as a strategy-driven, equitable and inclusive community. They will provide administrative leadership, strategy tracking and DEAI implementation and stewardship across all departments and work in concert with human resources.

The Major Gifts Officer will assume a key leadership role within the Advancement department by advancing the mission of the Speed Art Museum through the expansion of funding from individuals. As a senior member of the Advancement team, the Major Gifts Officer will develop, organize and cultivate donors and prospects who have the capacity to make significant multi-year investments. The Major Gifts Officer will manage planning, organizing, and events for several donor groups. The ideal candidate will be energetic and self-motivated with experience and success making direct solicitations, working with volunteers and staff across the organization. The Major Gifts Officer creates compelling proposals, presentations, and materials to solicit and steward gifts. This position works closely with the Deputy Director, External Relations & Advancement and the Director who will also maintain major donor portfolios.

ArtsU Intensive: Navigating Partnerships with Chambers and Economic Developers for Equitable COVID-19 Recovery

Local arts leaders and their agencies are poised to be strong partners with their local chambers of commerce and economic development organizations (EDOs) in community-wide efforts to attract businesses, retain talent, and equitably rebuild from COVID-19 while navigating the influx of federal dollars through the CARES and American Rescue Plan Acts (ARPA). This intensive workshop will present case studies of these networks working together and offer training on how to build these partnerships for mutual benefit. The workshop will explore how chambers and EDOs build business incentive packages in competition with other communities, while examining the community impact of those deals. It will explore how arts leaders can work alongside these partners to leverage arts and culture for the success of attracting and retaining businesses, while improving the overall health and vitality of their community.
