Changing your mind about yourself is the
breakthrough that can change everything this year.
“If they only knew.”

We have so many things we believe about ourselves, things we hold onto, that we are unwilling or unable to share with others. The scripts we rehearse in our minds often keep us trapped in the same chapters of our lives, chapters that we may feel others have written for us and that we cannot escape.

These scripts tell us that....
we are not enough
we don’t measure up
if we let down our guard everything will fall apart
if we don’t make compromises or concessions we’ll never be worthy of love.

We may want our current circumstances to be different, but we continue to feel stuck, no matter what we do. We don’t share those struggles and we don’t change, all because of one little word, shameShame holds us back in so many ways. It’s presence for some of us has been with us so long, we can’t envision living life without it.

What if this was the year that we experienced a breakthrough from those stories we tell ourselves? Knowing and trusting Jesus plays a unique role in allowing us to experience healing and freedom from the shame that lives on repeat in our minds.

Sundays in January at RVCC

This year, it’s time to change our minds about ourselves. We ALL have work to do in this area. Join us in January for a Sunday message series that will teach you how to break the cycle of shame.

Changing your mind about yourself is the
breakthrough that can change everything this year.

First there's decorating for Christmas, and then there's
UNDECORATING!

If you've been at RVCC Parkland or RVCC Graham in the past month or so, you've enjoyed the gorgeous decorations in our foyers. As much as we've loved the ambiance created by the Christmas trees and the rest of the décor, it’s time to take it down and put it away until next year. This Sunday, immediately after services, we’d appreciate anybody willing to stay a bit longer to help with the undecorating at RVCC Parkland. We’ll even buy pizza for the undecorating crew!

This Sunday, January 9
12:00pm at RVCC Parkland
Pray for the Bohanan and Moore families

Mary Lou Moore, a member of RVCC for almost 20 years, went home to be with Jesus on December 27. Ron Bohanan, also a member of RVCC for many years, went to heaven on December 28. Both Mary Lou and Ron were active in in ministry during their time at RVCC and will be missed.

No service is planned for Ron. A Celebration Service for Mary Lou is being planned for February or March. We'll share details when we have them. Please pray with us for both families.

2022 Tax Information

This is a reminder that we do not print and mail end of the year giving statements. You can log in to RVCC Connect and print a statement at any time, including when it’s time to file taxes. It is recommended that you wait another week or two, giving us time to finish processing end of the year donations. However, you can log in any time to make sure your giving record is accurate and consistent with your own records.

This provides a huge cost savings, in time and postage, for the church, however if that doesn't work for you, we have options. If you'd rather have your statement emailed, or if you aren't able to print, contact info@rainierview.org or call the church office at 253-531-0757. We can email statements at any time. Printed statements will be sent at the beginning of February.

Contact the church office at 253-531-0757 or email info@rainierview.org if you have any questions. Thank you!
