Letter from the President

Dear Valley Catholic School Community,

Happy New Year and welcome back to school! I hope Christmas brought a spirit of peace and joy to your family, and that the break allowed everyone time to “recharge their batteries” and return to school with renewed energy. Here on campus, students and staff are excited to see friends and dive back into learning.

Now that we’re back to school,
our vision naturally focuses on what lies ahead. Most important is a safe return to the classroom, enabling students to explore new ideas and concepts with renewed enthusiasm. We continue to adhere to the current COVID-19 protocols, as we manage the expected surge in COVID-19 cases with the Omicron variant over the next few weeks.

Already this week we have seen an increase in cases among students and staff members. I encourage everyone to make cautious choices and to stay home if you are not feeling well. Let’s pray that these safe practices will help keep students and staff healthy and in school.

Thank you for your continuing support of our school, our students, and our committed faculty members. We appreciate all you do to help make Valley Catholic a rich educational environment where our students excel.

A wise start to the New Year

On behalf of the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon Foundation, Happy New Year! In efforts to serve and sustain the community care efforts of the Sisters and their sponsored ministry at Valley Catholic School, we’re sharing one resolution to help you begin the year: make an estate plan. An estate plan enables you to secure your future, protect your loved ones, and even make a generational impact on the communities and causes you value. We’ve partnered with a free online resource that enables you to make your will in just 20 minutes to help you complete this resolution today. And if you have any non-probate assets such as an IRA, 401(k), or life-insurance policy, you can use this online tool to plan your beneficiaries

If you’ve already included the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon Foundation in your estate plan, please fill out this form to let us know. We’d like to thank you for your generosity.

Stay current. Stay connected.
