Dear Neighbour,

As we begin the new year, and due to the recent restrictions, it is important to take time to look after ourselves, friends, families, and neighbours. I wanted to share with you a list of Mental Health resources my team prepared on our website: JamesPasternak.ca/MentalHealth/

We have listed a number of agencies and organizations which provide free mental health support. If you know someone who could benefit from any of these resources, please share this with them.

In terms of the winter season, we have ensured that the City's Winter Operations are ready for road clearing whenever there is a snowfall. I wanted to remind everyone to make sure your winter tires are on, and your car is ready for the winter season.

Our team continues to work into the year of 2022 as we develop public assets, new parks, and work with Transportation and Police services to improve road safety. With these projects in mind I am thrilled to invite you to our York Centre Town Hall coming up on February 7th, where we will have guests and city staff to provide you with updates on what's happening in the area and to answer all of your questions! Please be sure to RSVP on: JamesPasternak.ca/Townhall/

As always, please feel free to reach out to our office with any municipal matters at (416) 392 1371 or through email at Councillor_Pasternak@toronto.ca.

Your Neighbour,

Councillor James Pasternak

James in the Community

New Year's Greetings

I was honoured to bring greetings on behalf of the Mayor and my colleagues at City Council to the congregants of Full of Joy Church and the Korean-Canadian community of North York. It was a wonderful service led by Rev. Joseph Yang about the current state of the pandemic and the importance of engaging our youth.

Holiday Toy Drive

The spirit of giving does not need to end with the holidays. Throughout this week, I delivered toys to Chai Lifeline and North York Women’s Shelter for children in need. Special thanks to Azzurri Soccer Club for supporting this great initiative!

City News

Changes to City Services

As of January 4, several in-person and non-essential counter services at City Hall and civic centres will temporarily shift their service delivery to remote channels, including phone and email.  The City remains prepared to respond to emergencies. Emergency response by Toronto Police, Fire Services, and Paramedic Services is not impacted.

Essential services will continue to operate in person. Visit the link below for a complete and updated list.
