Greetings Soaring Heights Families,

Welcome back. We are so excited and grateful to have our students back in the building again. Happy New Year!

Next week is a busy and full week at Soaring Heights. On Monday, January 10th, we have a girls basketball game starting at 3:30PM. Our Kindergarten Roundup is Tuesday, January 11th. If you are planning on attending, please sign up here. We will host last name A-L from 4:30-5:30PM  and last name M-Z from 5:45-6:45PM. On Wednesday, December 12, we will have grade-level assemblies to celebrate second quarter honor roll students in Middle School. There will be a video of these assemblies shared with parents. On Thursday, December 13th, we are hosting our Principal Connection from 4:00-5:00PM. This is a time for you to connect with the Principal. Finally, our Cyber Patriots teams have continued to do extremely well in competition with all three teams receiving high placements. Two of our three teams have qualified for the Semifinals!

As a school, we will be focusing on a “Strength of Character” campaign. We will be encouraging our students in how they can be the best members of our community possible through honesty, integrity, and responsibility.

Please remember to send your student with warm clothes for the early mornings and recesses as the days of inclement weather increase.

As you are aware, many in our surrounding communities are dealing with significant adversity due to the Marshall fire. Dr. Haddad, our superintendent, is working closely with Boulder County to see how we may assist our friends, family, and neighbors who have been affected by this tragedy. If you have been impacted by these tragic events, please reach out to us directly. You may also reach out to Kerri McDermid in our Communications Office to be connected with district resources and support (mcdermid_kerri@svvsd.org or call/text 720-899-0376).

If you have not been directly impacted but would like to volunteer or donate, please visit the Boulder Office of Emergency Management website at https://www.boulderoem.com/emergency-status.

Please know we are committed to supporting each other and the continued success of Soaring Heights PK-8 students and staff. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
