Two new blogs from Tony on Luke’s gospel

Hello everyone

Happy New  Year to you all.

As a leadership team we are continuing to track the local and national developments with Covid. We are seeking the right balance between care and caution for the church family, with our desire to prioritise and share times of worship together.

The number of Covid/Omicron cases are very high, but church worship continues to be supported and permissible under guidance from local and national government.

Throughout January we will continue to meet in person,  and our childrens groups (Little Lights,  Lighthouse Kidz, and youth) will continue to happen in the building.   We will continue with this approach during 2022 until further notice.

As before our service will also be streamed.

Please continue to complete lateral flow tests every Sunday before attending church,  for you and any family members.  Also please continue to wear masks in the building.  These precautions are an important way in which you are caring for others in our Hope family. Please do not attend the service if you have Covid symptoms.

We are looking forward to seeing you in person and worshipping together in 2022.   We hope to see you this Sunday.

The leadership team.

We have special events happening over the next few Sundays -

Sunday 9 January – Believers Baptism.
Sunday 16 January – a visiting speaker – Simon Argent who happens to be Mike and Jane Reynolds son in law.
Sunday 23 January – a visiting speaker – Martin Tibbert who leads the Catalyst team we are part of. Martin will be establishing Jon Adams as full-time staff elder.
Sunday 30 January – all age service led by Linda
Sunday 6 February – we start our series leading up to Easter looking at Luke’s gospel.

Praying for the Runfold Estate in Luton

Over the past 18 months a group from St. Hughs and Hope Church have been praying for and reaching out to the Runfold Estate, including running a joint Alpha Course. We will be prayer walking around the estate on Sunday 9th January meeting at St. Augustines Church at 2.30. From there we will be walking around the area, praying for the local community and the witness to Christ in the area. We will finish at around 3.30 at the Gospel Pentecostal Church on Birdsfoot Lane.

Please do join us if you can.
