It is fabulous to see the kids back at DBS this week. As I walk around the school kids are learning about so many fun topics; sound waves, animal adaptations and creating snow persons with clay. The academic interventionists are meeting with every student in K, 1 and 2 to assess their progress in reading and math. This data will be used to create learning experiences that target student's specific needs.
NO Bus Changes
We were able to hire a new bus drive who can start on Monday! Because of this, we do not need to use the alternative bus schedule that was planned for next week.
If your child is vaccinated, please send a copy of their vaccination card to our school nurse. Students who are vaccinated do not need to quarantine if there is an exposure at school.
We are running short on children's masks again. We would greatly appreciate it if you would check for any school masks at home and send them back. Thank You!
Recess is an important part of every child's day. Dothan Brook students go outside everyday for recess except during extreme cold or rain. Please make sure your child comes to school prepared to be outside. If you need cold weather gear, let us know. We are happy to provide you with hats, gloves, jackets, snow pants, etc.
If you need to make a transportation change, email DBSOffice@hartfordschools.net before noon OR call the school before 2:00.
