How do we support our Summerfair mission?

One of the best ways to support our mission is to have happy Green Shirt Member volunteers! What fun we had at our holiday party! Here are some pictures from our party.

From The President

Thanks to everyone for coming out to the holiday party even though Friday night was the only time available. Good news ~~~ The clubhouse it already booked for Saturday night in 2022!

The new year has arrived and it's time to start talking about the Fair.

Based on follow up comments from last years Fair we feel that a leader for the Admission Gate area would be very helpful. Among other things, we would like to improve the payment/check-in process and lessen the wait times for patron arriving to shop. This person(s) would also act as a "go to" person during the fair.

Do you have any thoughts about this? Would you like to get involved? I'd love to talk with you! Please email me at cgreen1824@gmail.com or call me at 513-515-1843.... or let's talk at the January meeting.

From Our Trustee

Hey there, fellow Green Shirts!

I’m once again taking off my trustee hat and putting on my Green Shirt Shift Coordinator hat for this newsletter.

If you have suggestions for anything related to the schedule, now is the time to make them. The board and division heads need time to discuss the suggestions, and it’s easier for me to implement changes early in the process. Please email me at dmzucker@outlook.com or call me at 513-907-9585. Thanks!

From The Managing Director

Welcome to 2022!

Please put the Summerfair Select opening reception on your calendar. It will be at the Weston Gallery, 650 Walnut St, 45202, on February 3 from 5:30pm - 8:30pm, and will feature 12 past AIA winning artists, displaying their phanomenal work. Masks will be required.

You may also want to join the opening reception for the Emerging Artist Exhibition. We have works from 19 students from 7 local collages. The awards will be announced around 7-7:30 on the lower level. It will be held in the CCAC offices at 2728 Short Vine St, 45219, February 11th, from 6pm - 8pm. Masks will be required.

We recieved 9 entries for the Poster Competition this year. There are several great candidates. They will be judged and the best 2 or 3 will be at the January meeting for you (Green Shirt Members only) to make the final decision! All of them will be in the office on the 18th (meeting night) for you to see or if you want to see them in advance of the judging you could stop by the Anderson Center from 12:30-1:00 for a quick peek. Judging will start at 1:00 and will be private.

Unlike last year it's geat to have 6 months to plan for the Fair! Everything is full speed ahead. The next few meeting are very important to see what is changing, what is staying the same and how YOU can be a part of a successful event.

4months, 3 weeks and 6 days is the countdown to Summerfair 2022.

Peace ~ Love ~ Art
