NNHS Post-Prom Extravaganza
The Celebration Committee had a wonderful kick-off meeting in December to begin planning for the NNHS post-prom extravaganza. We had nearly 25 volunteers join the Zoom to discuss the event, but we will need approximately an additional 100 volunteers to join our efforts if we hope to plan and execute a successful event. Please consider joining the planning team for the next meeting on January 18, 7:30pm (via Zoom). The committees we are currently looking to fill can be viewed through this link. Please consider helping with this very fun evening that has been a NNHS tradition for decades!

FORJ Program: Building School Community Through Affinity Spaces: What They Are and What They Are Not
Families Organizing for Racial Justice (FORJ), Newton North and Newton South are planning a joint event on Thursday, January 27 from 7:00-8:30pm where students, teachers and administrators will be discussing the history of affinity groups and how they function in our schools for various members of our community. Please click here to RSVP so we have an estimated number of participants and to receive a Zoom link to the meeting on the day of the event. Feel free to contact FORJ with any questions or concerns at FORJNNHS@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing you on January 27!

The Educational Excellence (Ed Ex) Campaign
The Ed Ex Campaign has raised over $250,000 since 2007 to enhance teaching and learning at Newton North. This year's campaign will raise funds to foster outdoor learning and enjoyment of our beautiful campus by installing permanent shades and furniture at various locations around the building, and to cover associated maintenance costs. Over the past two years, we have developed a new appreciation for the joys and benefits of learning outdoors, and these structures will encourage the flexible outdoor use of our campus for years to come. Be on the lookout for more details to come very soon! Please send any questions to fundraising@northptso.org or nnhsedex@northptso.org.
