💗 Female volunteers are needed TODAY !!
💗 For those not normally able to travel to a rehab, this is your opportunity to do service
💗 Contact Dawn at institutions@suffolkny-aa.org to learn more and volunteer your service.

We are doing all we can to keep the message of hope in this facility. Thank you for your continuing support!!

ESCYPAA VIII

LICYPAA is now ESCYPAA
(Empire State Convention of Young People in AA)

Our local YPAA committee, LICYPAA, has been honored in being selected to host the next YPAA (Young People of AA) Convention here on Long Island.

Please consider contributing to the upcoming YPAA Convention, ESCYPAA 8 (October 28-30 in Melville) by purchasing scholarships.

For example if your group would like to contribute $100, it can purchase 5 scholarships at the preregistration price of $20.

This not only helps ESCYPAA remain fully self supporting, but it helps those who can not afford a ticket on their own attend.

 Visit escypaa8.org to preregister.

Thank you all for your continued support.

A reminder to everyone about the Coronavirus Project

We are going through something AA has never experienced before
We need everyone's help to save our history!

We are asking all Suffolk AAs to write about their experience and their group's experience during this difficult time. How did this affect you personally and how did you manage to stay sober through it all? What changes did your group make? What did you witness?

We have 260 contributions to date.
It would be wonderful to get responses from every group.
These will be saved for future generations.

Finished pieces can be emailed to Archives@SuffolkNY-AA.Org

For those, who for whatever reason, writing is out of the question, we will interview you

Thanks for your help!

Help Needed with the Suffolk AA Archives Website!

The Archives Committee needs a Webmaster
to maintain the Archives Website — SuffolkAAArchives.com.

We have been looking for help for over a year.

Please send any all inquiries to SIA Archives — Archives@SuffolkNY-AA.Org

SIA
Hotline

The AA Hotline needs you and especially your group to sign up to answer the phones.

Your group does not need to take all 14 shifts in the week. We can help find another group to share the week or fill in any gaps in the coverage. We are also looking for individual volunteers.

You do not need a physical Hotline Book to work the hotline — there is an online version available here. If you or your group do need (a) physical book(s), they can be picked up at the SIA Office or other pick-up / drop-off arrangements can be made.

The shifts run from 8am to 8pm starting on Sundays.

Any and all please inquire by emailing phones@suffolkny-aa.org.

Be the hand of AA extended to a newcomer, or any alcoholic still suffering who reaches out for help.

AA Grapevine
AA La Viña

SIA has a large inventory of books and other items available from the AA Grapevine and AA La Viña

Your Grapevine Chair extraordinaire, Jackie, will come to your meeting in person, and set up a table with a wide assortment of books and other items.

Please email grapevine@suffolkny-aa.org to schedule your visit or to find out what she has in stock.
