We've teamed up with the fabulous Elizabeth at Humble Pie Cookery Kitchen in Hawes to offer you a days cooking in her fabulous kitchen.

Book a stay with us and explore your taste buds!

Her 'Wild about Wensleydale' course includes a welcome scone and coffee, light lunch and you get to take away everything you make including*:

Fruit Loaf infused with Askrigg Ale
Quiche with Real Yorkshire Wensleydale Blue Cheese
Apple Pie with Real Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese 
Elizabethan Wensleydale Lamb or Wensleydale Lamb Hot Pot

The Yorkshire Dales National Park Dark Skies Festival 2022 is coming soon!

From 18 February to 6 March local businesses in and around the Yorkshire Dales National Park are hosting various events to help you to get you out and about under the starry skies of the Yorkshire Dales.

Activities include an opportunity to do some stargazing with expert astronomers at some of the best locations in the Park, night-time fell running, night-time photography, night-time canoeing and mindful stargazing. There is also plenty of family friendly fun such as rocket making, nocturnal wildlife talks and planet trails.

Beginners guide to Astronomy

In celebration of the North Yorkshire Dales Dark Sky Festival Stone House Hotel has teamed up with Yorkshire Astronomy for an evening of astronomy. Join us for a tour of the night sky from our Solar System and nebulas of our galaxy to our neighboring galaxies. Whether this is your first glimpse into the night sky or you have already been bitten by the astronomy bug, join us for an evening with our team of expert astronomers and observatory grade telescopes in an entertaining and inspiring evening under some of the darkest skies in the country.
 
Yorkshire Astronomy is an educational group which aims bring observatory equipment, knowledge and the wonders of the universe to educate, amaze and inspire communities in Yorkshire.

This is an interactive session after dinner and a chance to explore the dark skies of the Yorkshire Dales from the comfort of our garden.

This is a free event as part of the
Yorkshire Dales National Parks Dark Skies Festival

However places must be booked as it is open to non residents too.
