Hello from Move To Heal South Dakota | March 2022

Happy Spring! Thanks for taking the time to stay up-to-date with all things Move To Heal South Dakota! We are committed to sharing monthly updates that are sure to leave you informed and inspired to take action.

Highlights this month include:
  • Dance Collective debut performance at the Washington Pavilion
  • Special event and collaboration with Altar'd State in The Empire Mall
  • Ongoing kids and adult programming in the community
  • 2022 Spirit of Volunteerism Awards Nominations
  • Generous donations from community members and organizations
We kicked off the month at the Washington Pavilion in collaboration with Amy Fill and Fine Mess where the youth Dance Collective performed to a live poem reading called "Cloudburst" and the adult Dance Collective performed "Wonderment" to live music by Fine Mess. This was a beautiful community event to be a part of and we look forward to future collaborations like this one! We will share the event video when we have it back!
We hosted an event on March 7 at the Empire Mall in partnership with Altar'd State's Mission Monday Campaign. It included performances from our adult and youth Dance Collective and a Mindful Movement class led by Lead Volunteer Instructor, Lisa Conlin.

..and there is still time to get involved in the campaign by shopping at Altar'd State in Sioux Falls, S.D. on an upcoming Monday!! 10% of all proceeds from every Monday between January 31 and April 11 will go back to support our mission in 2022. Thank you to everyone who has already participated in this fun opportunity!
Are you interested in the role of the arts in public health?
