VGS news  -Postponed until 2023

Welcome to The New  Video Game Summit Newsletter (VGS News For short)

 Show News

We have been informed by the Odeum Expo Center that the venue has been sold to a trucking company
and the Venue will continue to hold event at least until end of May.
When we contacted Odeum on 12/22/21 we learned the following
  1. Jon Zaley, event manager at Odeum  retired in October of 2021
  2. The Odeum has been sold to the trucking company which was
99% done at the time and it would complete by end of 2021
  3. and finally the Odeum won't be doing an events after May
as of this writing we have no official word from the Odeum on the sale but we can assume it is done by now.

So after talking with my co-promoter and our staff we have decide to a break this year and look for new location for 2023.

This saves us money and avoid the problem of finding a place for this year which has happened in 2014 when we found out Heron Point had a Management split with the hotel  in 2015 which lead us to down size go to Midwest Conference Center, which I billed as the show that almost didn't happen. But  being rushed caused us having a bad show that year. Which is why we are not rushing for this year and planning for next year, to make it one of best show for the upcoming year.
We had a good run at the Odeum 2016-2019 (no show in 2020 due to Covid) and 2021.
Possible New Venues
The Following locations are what we are looking into for 2023:
We will be contacting these places some time this week
and as soon as we get set date (second sat of July is usually the time)
we will let vendors and sponsors know before we announce to public..
