Mental & Emotional Wellness
Wednesday, January 19 - Dinner at 6:00 pm, Formation at 6:30 pm
Many of us are feeling disoriented from the past 2 years, and as we hit another wave of a new COVID variant, I think a lot of us feel like we are already tripping at the starting line of a new year. Let’s talk through what it looks like to consider our sense of identity in this new normal - what re-orienting looks like - rather than attempting to get back to the old normal. From a mental health perspective, what can assist us in clarifying a deeper sense of purpose and direction as we step towards 2022? We’ll talk through some larger categories and leave with some practical strategies in beginning to answer this for each of us. - Jeremy Dew, LPC-S
Jeremy Dew, LPC-S is the Clinical Director at Oakwood Roots and a mental health therapist at The Oakwood Collaborative, and he has been in practice for a little over a decade. He has been working primarily with adults as of late, and parents alongside Jenny Dew, a teacher at St Thomas ELC. They have 3 kids, 2 dogs, 2 sugar gliders, and an axolotl. He isn't super interested these days in speaking on things he isn't currently struggling with, so if you are the kind of person that might enjoy the exhilaration of learning to drive blindfolded, this is your kind of gig!
