Good morning everyone,
Thank you for your patience and your support during the first week of school. We had a number of students out the week before the Holiday Break and last week. The DOE is making every effort to ensure students are in school and this has implications for how we record attendance. Beginning this week, if your child is absent you will receive a Google Survey to verify your child’s absence.
If clarity is needed, continue to reach out to Cynthia at csavino@lmc896.org and Leona at lnegrimovsky@lmc896.org or call the office at 646-826-8100. Also, reach out to me at sdouglas@lmc896.org if you have a specific concern that we need to solve together. Regardless of the DOE’s policy, teachers will continue to post work in Google Classroom once they are informed about absences so that students do not fall behind.

As a reminder, students exposed at school WILL NOT be required to quarantine. Instead, they will be provided with two at-home tests, one to use the day they get it and the next to use on day 5.
