The Utah Legislative session runs between January 18th to March 4, 2022. There are lots of organizations that have bill trackers so you can follow where and when to show up, or contact your representative on the issues that matter to you.

The Utah Investigative Journalism Project will be hosting a virtual course on the 2022 Legislative session. This will cover how to use the Legislative website to track bills, and listen to or watch hearings and floor debates. They will also discuss what issues to watch for.

NCJW Utah President Annabel Sheinberg and Matthew Weinstein, co-chair, Congregation Kol Ami Social Action/Social Justice Committee will be joined by former State Representative David Litvack to give guidance and share tips on how to communicate effectively with your legislators.
If you are interested in helping to effect change but feel intimidated by the process, this is an excellent opportunity to get tips from the pros!

Utah citizens worked hard to get fair redistricting and formed the Utah Independent Redistricting Committee. But the Utah Legislature approved their own maps disregarding all input from the Independent group. What does this mean for the future of Utah voters? Better Boundaries is working hard on this issue.
The League of Women Voters of Utah will be holding a webinar to help answer that question.

The Coalition of Religious Communities is having a virtual rally in support of Rep. Rosemary Lesser's bill to ban the sales tax on food. Say no to the tax on food. NCJW Utah is a member of the Coalition of Religious Communities and we participate in Jewish Lobby Day at the Capitol each year with this group.
