Since 2009, Emory University's LGBT Alumni Group, GALA (Gay and Lesbian Alumni), and the Division of Campus Life have awarded the $6,000 GALA Leadership Award to an undergraduate student who has demonstrated leadership to positively impact the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer communities at Emory University.
Undergraduate students must apply before Jan. 24, 2022 in order to be considered for this award.

LGBTQ+ Health Care Conference 2022
|
|
|
The LGBTQ+ Health Care Conference is a three-day event for those who seek to understand the unique health considerations and barriers to health care in the LGBTQ+ population.
Attendees will learn how to provide respectful, patient-centered, culturally competent health care by developing skills to establish rapport, recognize barriers to medical care, offer LGBTQ+ patients competent primary care and/or referrals to such care and identify the unique health risks in the LGBTQ+ population.
The conference is free for students.

Use our LGBTQ+ Leadership Funds to attend conferences and more!
|

Speaking of the LGBTQ+ Health Care Conference, applications are open for both of Emory's LGBTQ+ Leadership funds! These funds can be used to attend leadership programs, conferences, networking events, and more!
The Dr. Daniel D. Adame Leadership Fund provides stipends of up to $1000 to support leadership opportunities for two LGBTQ+ students or allies each year. In keeping with the values of the fund's namesake, recipients will pursue opportunities related to physical, mental, emotional, social, spiritual, or environmental health.
The J. Michael Aycock Leadership Development Fund supports leadership opportunities and increases the leadership potential for LGBTQ+ students. Leadership opportunities can include but are not limited to attendance/participation in LGBTQ+ leadership retreats, LGBTQ+ leadership programs, LGBTQ+ networking events, and/or national, regional or state LGBTQ+ conferences. Awards are up to $1000.
