Physical Space Closed
Due to the recent COVID-19 surge, the Office of LGBT Life physical space will remain closed until January 31st.

During this time we will continue to offer virtual programs and resources for our community, including our Queer Discussion Groups, mindfulness programs, LGBTeas, and weekly newsletters.

We miss you all, and we hope to see you in person later this spring!

Call for Discussion Group Facilitators
Interested in leading one of our queer discussion groups this spring?

We are looking for facilitators for the following groups:

Safe Space Trainings:
Jan. 27 and Feb. 17
LGBT Life's Safe Space trainings continue!
These 3.5-hour trainings help students, staff, and faculty provide better support for LGBTQ+ individuals at Emory.

Pride Awards Nominations
The Office of LGBT Life is seeking nominations for this year's Pride Awards!

These awards recognize and celebrate members within our community for their incredible contributions and commitment throughout the year. GALA Leadership Award
Since 2009, Emory University's LGBT Alumni Group, GALA (Gay and Lesbian Alumni), and the Division of Campus Life have awarded the $6,000 GALA Leadership Award to an undergraduate student who has demonstrated leadership to positively impact the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer communities at Emory University.

Undergraduate students must apply before Jan. 24, 2022 in order to be considered for this award.

Studies in Sexualities Essay Prize
Emory's Studies in Sexualities is hosting an essay contest! Submit a paper related to sexuality that you've written for any class at Emory University. The deadline to submit is Monday, January 24.

LGBTQ+ Health Care Conference 2022
LGBTQ+ Health Care Conference 2022 logo
The LGBTQ+ Health Care Conference is a three-day event for those who seek to understand the unique health considerations and barriers to health care in the LGBTQ+ population.

Attendees will learn how to provide respectful, patient-centered, culturally competent health care by developing skills to establish rapport, recognize barriers to medical care, offer LGBTQ+ patients competent primary care and/or referrals to such care and identify the unique health risks in the LGBTQ+ population.

The conference is free for students.

Use our LGBTQ+ Leadership Funds to attend conferences and more!
Speaking of the LGBTQ+ Health Care Conference, applications are open for both of Emory's LGBTQ+ Leadership funds! These funds can be used to attend leadership programs, conferences, networking events, and more!


The Dr. Daniel D. Adame Leadership Fund provides stipends of up to $1000 to support leadership opportunities for two LGBTQ+ students or allies each year. In keeping with the values of the fund's namesake, recipients will pursue opportunities related to physical, mental, emotional, social, spiritual, or environmental health.

The J. Michael Aycock Leadership Development Fund supports leadership opportunities and increases the leadership potential for LGBTQ+ students. Leadership opportunities can include but are not limited to attendance/participation in LGBTQ+ leadership retreats, LGBTQ+ leadership programs, LGBTQ+ networking events, and/or national, regional or state LGBTQ+ conferences. Awards are up to $1000.

A PE class specifically designed for trans, gender non-conforming, and queer students? Sign us up! 😎💪🏽

Don't forget to add this class before Jan. 18, the last day of add/drop/swap!
Graphic about PE-285 Special Topics: Intramural Sports for Beginners. Open to gender non-conforming, non-binary, trans students, and their allies. Through this class, students will build confidence and community through sport. Individuals can wear whatever activewear that they are comfortable with. Teams will not be divided by gender.
