Hi <<First Name>>,
Humor is something we need more of, no questions about it.
Yesterday I had a meeting with Silvia Cherneva and Ivaylo Dimitrov about the founding of Platform for Improvisation and Composition (a.k.a. PIC). We are working on imagining this new platform/company and gearing toward an open call for performers and musicians to join us.
We made a gmail, so we can officially communicate with folks. It is:
pigs.in.classrooms@gmail.com (a.k.a.PIC)
Follow us on Facebook to be notified of the open call on Jan. 5th.
We also played a word game we called: "You can offend, but you can also lie." And invented phrases like "Creative like a dirty cane", "a window like thrown scissors" and "Pipes like tired muscles"...to continue all of the absurdity.
Why am I sharing this?
Because we need community, humor, joy, and play in order to survive and thrive.
I support this by creating various platforms and communities in Philly and in Sofia. I give my time, energy, and love to that... but it also takes money to keep going.
Please consider donating to BodyMeld this season. Every little bit helps for the continuous running of these programs.

Because we need socks,
we need ducktape,
we need empty prescription bottles
we need deodorants
we need septa/train tickets
we need bike helmets
we need rehearsal studios
we need warm hugs and cold icecreams
we need joy
we need community
we need sugar and spice and everything nice
we need to create and connect, so the world is a better place.
A place worth living in.
