HTD Grad Looking for Production Staff and Actor for Upcoming Play
Hunter Theatre Department, MA graduate, Nora Armani is looking for a production crew and an actor for Dreams on Fire this spring presented as an AEA Showcase at Keen University. Nora is looking for a Stage Manager, Assistant Director, Light Designer, and Board Operator. All positions will be compensated based on the commitment required. Nora is also looking for an actor to play the role of ARAM- 19 to 25 years old, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Eastern European, Mixed Ethnicity, white male. ARAM is a 20-year old Armenian-American male, anxious, depressed, soulful, spiritual, thoughtful. He is having a nervous breakdown. He is having strange nightmares and flunking out of college. About the Play: Dreams on Fire, set on the eve of the 2016 election and during Final Exam week, is a new play about college students' mental health and the transmission of trauma across generations. It is written by Jan Balakian and will be performed under the AEA Showcase Code at Kean University (30 min. on the NYC train line from Penn Station) with the possibility of developing it for presentation on tour and/or in New York.

Earth Celebrations Internship Accepting Applications
Earth Celebrations is a non-profit organization based on the Lower East Side of New York City engaging communities to generate ecological and social change through the arts.

Internships are available to work on ECOLOGICAL CITY, applying their pioneering creative cultural organizing strategies on the Lower East Side of New York City to develop and bring climate resiliency and ecological sustainability solutions within the gardens, neighborhood and waterfront on the Lower East Side of New York City. Community residents collaborate with artists through workshops developing visual arts and performance projects exploring neighborhood sites and their climate solutions. Works are featured in a culminating theatrical pageant with a procession and 15 site performances throughout the neighborhood. 

Seeking interns with skills, interest and background: civic engagement, community outreach, advocacy/activism, theatrical/arts/event production, logistics management, graphic and web design, social media, photography/video and interest in the arts, community organizing, environmental, urban planning activism and climate issues.

The Internship runs February-May
100 hour minimum time-commitment per semester, can be taken for credit.

Center for Fiction Looking for an Events Production Intern
The Center for Fiction is looking for Events Productions Interns to assist with in person, virtual and hybrid events for their upcoming season.

CFF is a nonprofit literary organization dedicated to celebrating fiction in Downtown Brooklyn. This is a great opportunity to practice literary citizenship, learn more about the literary world, and to get hands-on experience that could translate to work in publishing, programming events, and independent bookstores.

This is a non-paying internship, but the Center for Fiction is willing to work with students to earn college credit. Interns will receive Free Center for Fiction Membership, One free CFF boot camp writing workshop with a highly regarded professional author, and 35% discount at bookstore and cafe for the duration of internship.

The internship runs from mid-January to mid-May. Most public events are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, with occasional weekend or daytime events. Some weeks will be all in-person, some will be all virtual, and some will be a combination.
