CAMP CARDS

2022 Camp Cards are Coming! Sign your unit up today for camp card sales! Camp Cards are a great way to fund your summer time activities. Scouts can earn camperships to major events, troops and pack can earn discounts for summer cam and adventure camp. The leaders guide will help guide you through the sale and provide important information for your unit. Download and share the Parents Guide to help your unit have a successful sale.. If you have a favorite business that you want featured on your card contact George Henington or Robert Sutton.

Merit Badge College

Two great weekends for Scouts to earn merit badges Northern District will be held on January 15, 2022 Work on merit badges such as Citizenship in the Community, Radio, Family Life, Dentistry, and Aviation. The Southern district will have their Merit Badge College on January 22, 2022 Registration is open for half day and full day classes. Earn merit badges like Citizenship in the Nation or World, Oceanography, Chemistry Communications and much more. Recharter

Every year, from October through December 1st, all units (packs, troops, crews, & posts) renew their affiliation with Scouting. This process allows units to update their adult and youth members' information, pay registration fees, and renew the Scout Life magazine subscriptions. In an effort to provide uninterrupted programs to your Scouts, please work on and complete your unit renewal in a timely manner. To view a tutorial on Internet Recharter download this guide. Online recharters make it easier to add or remove individuals as well as track the required trainings.

• Important considerations for your units recharter.

• Each adult should be YPT trained for the full time of your charter.

• Paying online has a fee 1% for check and 3% for credit card. These fees are not set by the NWGA Council.

• Paying at the NWGA Service Center is an option, however Scout Life subscriptions paid at the service center are subject to 7% sales tax. Paid online there is no sales tax.

Silver Beaver Award

The Northwest GA Council is currently accepting nominations for the Silver Beaver Award until 12/31/2021. The awards will be presented as part of the Annual Council Banquet on February 26, 2022

Unit Spotlight

Great job of the Cub Scout in Pack 20 chartered by Anna Kresge Memorial UMC. They brightened up Main Street in Cedartown by participating in the Ginger breadman competition this year!
