Middle Colorado Watershed Council engaged in multiple projects in 2021 to protect and enhance our water quality and quantity. Working together with a variety of stakeholders, we have been able to support the long-term health of this river and its tributaries while protecting our local economy and well-being of our communities between Glenwood Canyon and DeBeque.
With your help with a year-end gift, the Middle Colorado Watershed Council will be able to continue work on projects that protect our water quality, mitigate the post fire impacts of the 2020 Grizzly Creek and Pine Gulch fires, enhance riparian and aquatic habitat, provide recreational opportunities, and support agriculture.
Reaching our year-end fundraising goal of $5,000 will support for our operations as well as provide matching funds for early-year grant applications in 2022.
Our 2022 project list will allow us to continue work on current projects and kick off new efforts:
*Grizzly Creek and Pine Gulch post-fire watershed management
*Riparian restoration and invasive species control
*River access improvements
*Gravel pit reclamation
*Educational signage
*Citizen science efforts
*Participation in flow management partnerships
Can you support these projects with a year-end, tax-deductible donation?
Thank you for considering the Middle Colorado Watershed Council for your year-end contributions and for your support over the past years. We will keep you informed of our progress as we move into the new year.
Thank you for your support! The Middle Colorado Watershed Council is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible.
HELP THE MCWC
A small donation goes a long way. Sponsor a student to test water quality, spearhead the removal of an invasive tamarisk, or support the replanting of willows and cottonwoods in our waterways. We need your support.
