2022 comes in HOT with great racing opportunities for our Sabot, CFJ, C420 and High School sailors! Be sure to check our website often for Upcoming Events and News. If you ever have questions about what your child should be sailing, let us know and we are happy to help. Please register as soon as possible to help us with planning equipment, trailers and coaching.

SABOTS

It's time to get back on the water! We have Sabot Training, a Screaming Chicken, North Series/ABYC Invite and Luff-Ins are BACK!!:

• January 8: All Fleets Sabot Training @ MBYC
  • Beginning to Advanced, A through C3 Racers
  • Please register ASAP
• January 9: Screaming Chicken!! @ MBYC
  • First Chicken of 2022, let's ALL get out there!
• January 22-23: SCYYRA North Series/ABYC Invite @ ABYC
• February 5: SDAYC Luff-In @ SDYC

O'PEN SKIFFS

MBYC is hosting the O'Pen Skiff MidWinters West in February, so let's be sure to take advantage of every training and race opportunity that comes up. Luff-Ins are back! This means you can race Sabots on Saturday and O'Pen Skiffs on Sunday making for a perfect weekend of fun! We'll also be adding some training days shortly. Links to registration and information will be shared when available, but get these dates on your calendars!:

• February 6: SDAYC Luff-In @ SDYC
• February 19-20: O'Pen Skiff MidWinters West @ MBYC

LASERS

It's time to get back on the water! We have Sabot Training, a Screaming Chicken, North Series/ABYC Invite and Luff-Ins are BACK!! First longer term goal will be getting well prepared for the Laser MidWinters West in March:

• January 1: New Year's Day/Hangover Regatta @ MBYC
  • Register on the mbycracing.com spreadsheet. Specify Full or Radial.
  • Coach Diego is sailing! 
• February 5: SDAYC Luff-In @ SDYC

CFJs

CFJ sailors, new and experienced - It's time to find a partner and start training! MBYC hosts CFJ NATIONALS this summer and we have great racing opportunities in the months leading up to this big event. For our newer CFJ sailors, the SDAYC Luff-In Series is a great place to start. For those you have been to our training days or have raced a bit already, the Shadden Series is the next priority. Let us know if you need help finding a partner.:

• January 15: SCYYRA Shadden Series @ SDYC
• January 16-17: Harold Adams Team Race
  • Invite only.
• February 6: SDAYC Luff-In @ SDYC (will share link when available)

C420s

For our advanced double-handed sailors, we have a Perry and Luff-In to look forward to early in 2022 and it's not too early to set our long term goals on the C420 Nationals which will be in Long Beach this summer.:

• January 29-30: SCYYRA Perry Series @ USSC-Long Beach (will share link when available)
• February 6: SDAYC Luff-In @ SDYC (will share link when available)
