Untold Stories: grants by the Commission for Diversity in Public Realm DEADLINE 5pm Wednesday 12th January
Grants of up to £25,000 are available to local not-for-profit groups for making changes to public spaces to better reflect the culture and diversity of Greater London.
The Untold Stories Programme was developed by the Mayor of London in response to the results of the first comprehensive audit of public sculpture across the city by Art UK, which revealed significant disparities in representation.
The grant scheme forms part of the Mayor's Commission for Diversity in the Public Realm, an initiative to review and assess public tributes including statues and other landmarks.
Funding is intended to support community groups to make London's public spaces more accessible, inclusive and diverse and to acknowledge all aspects of its history.
Two types of grant are available:
- Test and Nurture - £1,000 to £5,000 (plus up to £1,000 for additional access costs)
- Grow and Make Happen - £4,000 to £25,000 (plus up to £2,000 for additional access costs)
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a constituted community group or not-for-profit organisation.
- Have a registered address anywhere in Greater London.
- Have a turnover of less than £500,000 a year
