I hope you are all well and enjoyed Christmas.
Despite the ongoing pandemic, you (the Ewhurst LEAP volunteers) have achieved a lot in 2021, and this seems a good time to look back at some of our achievements including:
o Surveying 40 of the street trees in and around Ewhurst;
o A very successful litter pick;
o Making four large wooden planters for the Village Hall - and filling them;
o The wonderful village Carnival, where we gave out 200 free packets of wildflower seeds;
o Footpath and pond clearance;
o Helping the Infant school children planting a hedge.
The committee would like to thank you for all your help.

Earlier this year Richard finished his wonderful year-long set of Rambles, and these are all still available to read on-line. Thanks again to Richard for all of them.

Our first activity for 2022, next Saturday (8th January) will be a footpath clearance. I am pleased that the totally overgrown footpath we had planned to do (FP435, near Westland Farm) has recently been made passable, so we will clear FP440 instead. This footpath runs half way between Parliament Farm and the Old House, opposite the Green.

We can meet at the telephone kiosk at the junction of The Green and Plough Lane at 10am, and walk to the path. We'll finish at midday. Please wear wellies and stout gloves. We will have the LEAP tools; please bring your own if you want to.
