The Christmas Story Seldom Told: Traditionally, Taiwan doesn’t celebrate Christmas. Why would they? Few know the real reason for Christmas—Jesus Christ! It is the Christmas story that is seldom told. That is why we were excited to host a Taiwanese family in our home for Christmas dinner. Our oldest son served by preparing sugar cookies, and they enjoyed frosting and eating them. We exchanged gifts, and Natasha read the Christmas story to the children. We are grateful to be a gospel light together as a family and share the true reason for the season. We keep working towards the day when we can communicate in Chinese unhindered!
Noam Turns Two: Our second son turned two years old near the end of December. We are thankful for the children God has given us to shepherd. We pray daily that their little hearts would absorb gospel truths and grow in faith. We celebrate our children as gifts from God.
Full Hearts: We wish to express our tremendous gratitude for your sacrificial love for our family. Your love shown through another year of faithful financial giving is humbling, and your monthly gifts enable us to continue to labor for Christ in Taiwan. We are greatly encouraged to know that your prayers never go unheard through Christ for our family and our gospel mission here in Taiwan. Your kindness through support warms our hearts tremendously this Christmas season.
Felt Prayers: We may never know the true impact and mighty significance of prayer until glory, but we certainly feel and experience the prayers of the saints on our behalf strengthening our faith as we trust God by faith. Thank you to everyone too numerous to name in this letter for sending your love and prayers. We wish you all a (belated) Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year as we both celebrate the advent of Christ and eagerly await the return of Christ in glory some day soon!
