Here we go again...A new BZTAT Studios is in the works.
Since the beginning of the Canton Arts District in 2007, I have occupied and vacated more art studio spaces than I literally can count. In the early going, my incorrigible cat Brewskie Butt entertained his internet following with stories about my burgeoning art career as we lived and worked in Studio 5 on 4th Street.
Eventually, I left 4th Street and occupied various gallery/studio spaces in Second April Art Galerie. The owners of Second April later turned it over to ArtsinStark, and it became Avenue Arts Marketplace and Theater.
When COVID caused everything to shut down, Avenue Arts closed, and the place became Vital Arts Gallery.
The economic trials brought on by COVID have proved to be too much for Vital Arts, as well, and it is now closing, too. What's an artist to do?
Despite the fact that art galleries are difficult to maintain over time, especially during a pandemic, this artist never grows weary of being creative. So my creative journey continues.
It’s not official yet, but I have located a new space in the Canton Arts District that will become my new creative home. The new BZTAT Studios will be bigger with work space and gallery space. Two other well established artists will join me in this new creative venture that will lead to both a colorful and entertaining venue. As we formalize our plans, I will share more details.
My hope is to use this opportunity to not only reach out more to my local collectors and fans, but also increase offerings for my online friends as well. Stay tuned for more info about that as well.

New Art and Other Schtuffs...
Despite the challenges of a pandemic, I have been incredibly busy over the past year. I took on a full time job at the Just Imagine Gift Gallery, leading a team of amazingly talented artists. These artists are adults with developmental disabilities who have unique creative abilities. They're some of the coolest cats around!
I have also spent a lot of time travelling the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath on my bicycle. The wildlife along the trail have inspired some new paintings which you see here.
Website Changes
During the month of January, my website will be undergoing some changes. I think the end result will be a great improvement, but there may be some down times and errors. Please be patient if you have any problems. Simply reply to this email if you need to reach me about any website issues. Thanks!
Pet Portrait Mini-Retreats
Unfortunately, the pandemic has forced me to put my Pet Portrait Mini-Retreats on hold indefinitely. The workshops require a lot of close interaction and simply are not safe to do right now.
I look forward to the day when we can hold mini-retreats and other workshops again in my new studio. Stay tuned.
New Cat - Meet Sky!
I also have a new cat! Sky joined my family July 25, 2021. She is a bit wild and not used to living in a home, but I love her all the same. She is one of the most beautiful cats I have ever seen. I am sure she will show up in some artwork soon...
