Dear <<First Name>>,

We wish this could just be a Happy New Year message from Liveable Arlington.

But, in December there were two serious pollution incidents at Mother Heart’s playground next to Total’s AC360 drilling site. In one incident, fumes from tank batteries at Total’s operations were so noxious that two daycare staffers became ill.

Young children play dangerously close to the tanks–imagine if they had been playing there during either incident.

So, what does the city do?

Despite these incidents, Arlington has called a special city council session this Tuesday 01/04/22 at 6:30 PM, right after the holiday, to push through a vote on allowing Total to drill 3 more gas wells at the AC360 site.

The city barely put up the meeting agenda the day before New Year’s Eve. Why is the city rushing the gas well vote while most people are busy returning from the holiday season?

We need to stop them from putting young children’s health at risk.

Here’s how you can help:

1. Attend the meeting and sign up to speak against the fracking permit.
