Dear Grace Family,
We want to let you know that yesterday Sally Coburn died at Emerald Ridge community care center. Please keep her son Michael and her daughter-in-law Heidi in your prayers as they grieve and do the work they have before them following her death.
And please pray for Jim Compton and Karen Compton, who cared for her daily needs for many years, and who loved her well as she lived her final days. They have given each of us a great example of what Christian community means and how we are called to love each other well as family in Christ.
We give great thanks for this example and for the life of Sally who was a faithful and loving member of this community and who will be deeply missed.
Gracious and loving God, Father and Mother to us all, we give you thanks for those we love and yet no longer see. We thank you today for Sally and the life she lived in this world and among us. Receive her Soul into your loving arms, where there is sorrow no more, only life everlasting. Be with those who mourn and care for our hearts as we continue our earthly pilgrimage. May we be reminded that life is fleeting, but you dear God, are eternal.
