An Update for Patrons of Next Stage 2022

Hello <<First Name>> <<Last Name>>,

Thank you for supporting the Toronto Fringe and the Next Stage Theatre Festival with your ticket and/or pass purchase.

In light of the announcement from the government of Ontario on Monday, January 3, 2022, all in-person scheduled performances and events for Next Stage 2022 will be cancelled. All digital performances and events will be proceeding as scheduled. We are currently working with the Theatre Series artists to determine the possibility of converting their live performances to digital – more details to be announced as soon as possible.

If you have purchased a Digital Series Pass or tickets to shows in the Digital Series, no action needs to be taken and you will be able to access the shows as usual from January 19th.

If you have purchased a Theatre Series Pass or tickets to shows in the Theatre Series and the shows are able to be converted to a digital performance, no action needs to be taken at this time. We will be in touch as soon as possible to confirm the new logistics of how to access the digital content. However, if you would prefer to not engage with digital performances, we ask you to please consider your purchase as a donation to the artists in the festival. If not, respond directly to this email and we will refund your purchase.

If you have purchased a Full Festival Pass, you will still have access to all shows in the Digital Series as well as access to all Theatre Series shows if they are converted to a digital performance. However, if you would prefer to not engage with digital presentations from the Theatre Series, we ask you to please consider that portion of your pass purchase as a donation to the artists in the festival. If not, respond directly to this email and we will refund the Theatre Series portion of your pass.

Again, we thank you for your understanding, patience, and support as we navigate this wave of the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions that come with it. Our top priority is the safety and health of our artists, staff, and patrons, but please know we are as sad and disappointed as you are to not be able to be in a theatre together once again.

We will be in touch with further clarification and details as they become available. Feel free to send us an email at general@fringetoronto.com with any questions you may have.

Take care,
