LFMP January Panel
Wall Street Journal, New York Times and Other Breakthrough Op-Ed Placements

We're pleased to kick off our 2022 event series with Wall Street Journal deputy features editor Matthew Hennessey and former New York Times Op-Ed editor Trish Hall for a discussion on placing op-ed content beyond traditional legal media. The panel takes place on Wednesday, January 26 at Noon Eastern.

Matthew and Trish will discuss best practices for submitting commentary to Opinion pages, including what not to do when approaching editors with proposed column ideas by lawyers and others. Both editors also have recent books out – Matthew is author of Visible Hand: A Wealth of Notions on the Miracle of the Market (publishing this April) and Trish is author of Writing to Persuade: How to Bring People Over to Your Side (Norton).

Moderating the session will be LFMP member Allan Ripp, who has been fortunate enough to contribute to both the Journal and Times along with other mainstream outlets.
