Happy New Year everyone! Welcome to the January issue of the Contours Holidays newsletter. Top Ten Trails for your First Walking Holiday

A guidebook might seem unnecessary for navigation, especially in this age of technology. And there’s no denying it: with a brilliantly detailed Ordnance Survey or Harvey map, a good old compass and a modern GPS device charting the route ahead, you should be able to find your way along most trails.

Hayley and Kyle walk the Limestone Way for Movember

Back in mid-December, Contours team member Hayley and her husband Kyle walked 30 miles of the Limestone Way to raise money for Movember and Men’s Health. Not only did they complete this awesome challenge, but they did so in fancy dress as pizza and fries! Hayley and Kyle successfully raised over £400 for their cause and the whole Contours team are super proud of their achievement. Well done guys!

Castell y Bere: A Very Special Place

I am sure that everyone has a place that means something to them, has some special memories and just makes you feel better — at peace or happy.

My ‘go to’ must be Castell y Bere, a ruined Welsh castle in Mid Wales. It really is in the middle of nowhere and lies completely off the beaten track. You have to look for it to find it.
