Welcome to BelExpo's January newsletter.
The Belgian pavilion wishes everyone a fantastic new year! May 2022 bring you nothing but happiness and health! We are looking forward to the next three months of Expo, and hope to bring you all on this journey with us.
From the 8th until the 12th of January, the Spotlight on Belgian Cinema will take place here in Dubai. This visually enjoyable event is organised by our partners at Wallonie-Bruxelles International with the support of Wallonie-Bruxelles Images and Alliance Française Dubai. The festival will end with a round table event at the Belgian pavilion, bringing together Belgian and international representatives of the cinema industry. To get your interest sparked we have three separate articles about this week and the people organizing it in this month's newsletter.
Talking about cinema, a beautiful film was made about the partner we are introducing you to this month: Schindler. Get to know them better!
Flemish Social Entrepreneur Arnoud Raskin, the owner of mobileschool.org, was invited to Expo 2020 Dubai as a guest speaker at the Knowledge and Business Learning Forum in Dubai. We welcomed him at the Belgian pavilion to talk about his remarkable projects.
Lastly, our hosts at the Belgian pavilion have many talents, and singing happens to be one of them. They joined the Expo 2020 World Choir, organised by Ireland at Expo and sang some beautiful classics!
