Update on FLCC Safety Protocols
|
|
|
In accordance with health authorities, we recommend that all eligible people get the vaccine booster shot, Moderna or Pfizer if possible. Currently, vaccinated people with two shots are only about 25% effective against the omicron variant. With the booster shot, the protection rate goes up to about 70%.
Also, we are temporarily suspending all meals at church as we continue to monitor the omicron surge situation. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Blessing Our Merchant
Community on Balboa Street

In 2022, we want to continue our efforts to establish a presence in our Balboa community. We can start by increasing our footprints in the neighborhood and building relationships.
Thank you to the Forum Committee for sponsoring this wonderful idea and ordering live plants, which we will deliver on behalf of Full Life to bless our 50 local merchants on Balboa Street from 35th to 38th Ave.
Church volunteers will meet in the sanctuary at 12:30 pm for the distribution of the plants. Teams can go in pairs or as a family to present the gifts and meet our local merchants. Please sign up here or in person on Sunday to participate. Let's be the blessing!

Voting of Candidates by Our Members: Members should plan to attend in order to establish a quorum. If you are unable, please contact Rosita Kan (Chinese) or Jenny Yee (English) by Friday, January 14, and we will send you a ballot for a written vote to be returned by U.S. mail prior to the meeting. However, an absentee vote cannot be counted to establish the quorum.

Evangelism
On-line Sessions with
Dr. Stephen Lim
Starting February 2022

Pastor Lim is teaching a series of on-line classes on the topic of Evangelism. This course is intended to equip and empower us to reach our visitors and neighbors.
Pastor Lim has taught this subject many times in churches and at the master’s and doctoral level at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS). He has also written a textbook on this topic, Communicating Christian Faith in a Pluralistic Society, for Global University.
Preliminary Course Outline:
- Strengthening the Spiritual & Practical Foundations for Evangelism
- Demonstrating Faith through Community
- Relevance of Christian Faith for Individual Needs & Aspirations
Time: Starting in February 2022. Total course is six hours, taught in sessions. Class structure, dates, and times will be determined later based on the number of participants and availability.
Material: The textbook is recommended but not required.
Fee: $30 for the class, plus $30 for the optional textbook. Scholarship options are available.

- Sessions are open to all who signed up but are conducted in English.
- This series is Part 1.There may be an opportunity to study Part 2 and other topics in future series.
