SUCCULENT 1 | 75" x 80" x 1.5" | oil, acrylic, crayon on canvas

Happy New Year!

I hope this newsletter finds you, your family and friends safe and healthy. Though we are in the middle of another pandemic surge, I'm grateful for those bits of hope that are there, and even more grateful for the health care workers who are the absolute superstars in all of this. If you're one of them, I understand that you may not be feeling that hope, given what you have to do day in and day out. All I can say is thank you. You are so appreciated.

Since my previous newsletter last October, I'm happy to share that I was invited to display four of my artworks at the new Dakota Jackson Showroom at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, CA.

From DakotaJackson.com:

"In a career spanning over five decades, Dakota Jackson has been one of the leading figures in American furniture design . . .

He began building in his loft apartment in Chelsea, during the height of the 70's art scene. Recognized for his work by antique dealers, he began restoring the finest works of furniture including those of Pierre Chareau. His work caught the eye of Yoko Ono who commissioned Jackson to create a mystery puzzle box desk to gift John Lennon on his 34th birthday . . .

Noteworthy among his designs is the Library Chair™, first developed for architect James Ingo Freed’s San Francisco Public Library and currently in use in libraries across the country, including Harvard, NYU, Stanford and Cesar Pelli’s Minneapolis Public Library . . .

Jackson’s signature body of work also includes several design collaborations with Steinway & Sons."

To view my artwork alongside Dakota's beautiful furniture pieces that include his new Chess Collection, please contact Jeff Miller, Showroom Manager, at 310.387.1893

2022 kicked off with the sale of I SEE YOU to a 3-peat collector in Northern CA who purchased piece number one from me back in 2015. A big thank you to this collector and to all of you who are fans of what gets created here in my studio! Available paintings can be viewed on my website, where you can also view paintings on your own walls virtually. As always, if you know other art lovers who might enjoy knowing about me, I'd be very appreciative if you'd forward this newsletter on, and for more frequent studio happenings, please follow me on Instagram.

Thank you again for your support! Be well and here's to peace and progress in 2022 . . .
