The Great Resignation hit its highest level yet in November, with 4.6 million voluntary resignations. Even with an estimated 1.5 jobs available for every unemployed person, there remain 6.9 million unemployed Americans. From McDonald’s offering $500 signing bonuses to tech firms incessantly sending LinkedIn DMs, it’s an employee’s market.

A recent Business Insider article cataloged 20 D2C brands to which it's worth sending your resume. These companies have raised major cash, are currently hiring, and are considered great places to work. For those employees with transferable skills or tech backgrounds, these employers are some of the best companies to follow.

Here are our favorites:

Prose offers a custom hair care system for those who venture to fill out an online quiz. The company prides itself on its bounty of 5-star reviews on both the product and the work environment.

Ro is modernizing healthcare with a seamless health platform combining multiple customer bases. The company has made acquisitions of vendor dispatch company Workpath and fertility service provider Modern Fertility. However, the company might be struggling internally with its product/market fit and company culture.

Harry’s is a shaving and body care brand for men. It is hiring in New York and internationally after raising $155MM in March.

Nurx is another telehealth and digital pharmacy offering everything from emergency birth control to anti-aging creams and at-home COVID-19 tests. Employees love working here for the mission but have some critical ideas for the company leaders.

Daily Harvest must have me pinned as an ideal customer because I see the food company's ads constantly. The company makes healthy eating easy with prepacked smoothies, grain bowls, and more. Office perks (obviously) include unlimited healthy snacks.

Other U.S.-based companies on a hiring spree include Thrive Market, Naadam, Summersalt, Vuori, Rothy’s, Ergatta, Sunday, Fernish, Ollie & Grove.
