Our next big event is 30 Hour Famine at the end of February! At this event, students will learn about local and global poverty. We will do a service project and lesson at Community Enabler that afternoon, and we will stay overnight at the church. Students will fast for the entirety of our night together, unless they have any medical reason to join us but skip the fast. I look forward to seeing God works through this poverty awareness retreat, and I hope your students can be there!
World Vision is a global, faith-based non-profit that organizes an annual event called 30 Hour Famine. The Famine is a way to educate students about poverty while raising money to feed people in need. We will raise money at a booth in the narthex before and after the service on Sundays February 6, 13, and 20. I will need students to join me for this, so please let me know what days you know your kid(s) can be there.
SUPER BOWL PARTY: FEBRUARY 13!
We will have a Super Bowl Party this year! Please send your students with a finger food to share. We will meet at 5PM, and we will watch the game in The Bridge until halftime. This is always a fun event, and I hope your students can make it!
